A City Everyone Experiences in Their Own Way
Thessaloniki is a light and lively tour, often combined with shopping or free time. It’s easy to pause here for a cup of Greek coffee, enjoy lunch at a seaside taverna, take a relaxed walk, and simply feel the rhythm of the city. Historical monuments from different eras appear almost at every step, and time here seems to fly by unnoticed.
Thessaloniki is a city of many faces. It reveals itself differently to everyone — and that is exactly what makes it so captivating. Some visitors prefer more free time for shopping, others are interested in museums, while some are happy to spend hours in a seaside taverna enjoying food, wine, and views of the gulf. There are also those drawn to the spiritual side of the city — the opportunity to visit Orthodox shrines, pray, venerate holy relics, and spend a quiet moment in reflection.
That is why I offer two formats of the Thessaloniki tour, differing not only in content but also in duration — so that everyone can choose the rhythm that suits them best.

Our journey begins in the upper part of the city — at the Acropolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site). From here, Thessaloniki opens up with a beautiful panoramic view. We then visit the Vlatadon Monastery (UNESCO), stroll through the charming streets of the old town where history feels especially alive, and continue to the Church of Saint Demetrius (UNESCO) — the patron saint of Thessaloniki and one of the city’s most important landmarks.

You will drive along the main streets and squares of the city center, stop at the White Tower — the symbol of Thessaloniki — and see the most iconic monuments, including the statue of Alexander the Great and the famous “Umbrellas” sculpture on the waterfront. These few hours are easy, rich, and dynamic — usually 3.5–4 hours pass almost unnoticed.

After the tour, you are free to continue your day at your own pace: explore the city further, enjoy lunch, sip Greek coffee, or go shopping.

If desired, the route can be complemented with a visit to the Archaeological Museum, or concluded with a wonderful chef’s masterclass and wine tasting at a local winery. Everything can be arranged in advance.
Thessaloniki is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of Central Macedonia. Today it is the cultural capital of the country — a city of festivals, events, and vibrant life. With more than 3,000 years of history, it preserves traces of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras, as well as a rich Jewish heritage. The old city center, miraculously preserved after the Great Fire of 1917, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. In the 1990s, Thessaloniki was named European Capital of Culture — and that spirit is still felt in its atmosphere today.
If you would like to discover the city calmly, without rush, at your own pace and truly experience it — I would be delighted to show you Thessaloniki just that way.
